Lifestyle vlogger and entrepreneur Camille Co has spoken up to clear her name after netizens mistakenly linked her to Claudine Co, the content creator whose family has recently come under scrutiny over alleged involvement in anomalous government projects.

The confusion erupted after Claudine, 25, went viral for showcasing her lavish lifestyle on her Clauds YouTube channel and Instagram page—featuring trips on private planes, frequent international vacations, and a collection of luxury designer bags worth millions. The attention quickly turned critical when it was revealed that Claudine is the daughter of former Ako Bicol Party-list Representative Christopher Co and niece of incumbent Representative Elizaldy “Zaldy” Co, both tied to major construction firms awarded with billions worth of infrastructure contracts from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) between 2023 and 2025.

These revelations sparked allegations that taxpayer money funded the family’s extravagant lifestyle, prompting calls for Congress to include Claudine in the ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in flood control projects. Amid mounting backlash, Claudine temporarily deactivated and privatized her social media accounts, choosing not to respond to the accusations.

Camille Co Clarifies: “I Am Camille, Not Claudine”

As Claudine disappeared from public view, confusion grew online, with some netizens mistakenly tagging fashion vlogger Camille Co in the controve

On August 27, Camille took to X (formerly Twitter) to set the record straight:

“Imagine my surprise opening my TikTok and discovering a ton of comments because of the viral Co’s. I’m not related to them nor do I know them. Why naman Lordttttttt.”

She emphasized that her family has no ties to politics or construction, quipping:

“Bakit kasi ang daming Co?!? There’s not one famous Co in my fam. They’re all very private. No one is in politics, the government, nor construction. I’m not an heiress. I’m just a hardworking kween.”

Driving her point further, she humorously addressed the persistent mix-up:

“One last time for the people in the back: I am Camille. Not Claudine. Spell it with me now: C-A-M-I-L-L-E. Also, Google is free. (Unlike those people’s corruption-funded shopping sprees.)”

Addressing Husband’s Construction Business

Camille also tackled speculation about her Finnish husband, Joni Koro, after some netizens pointed out that he, too, runs a construction-related company—seemingly contradicting her claim that she has no connection to the industry.

On Instagram Stories, she clarified with a mix of sincerity and humor:

“I feel like I should hold a sign saying, ‘Not related to the COs going viral at the moment.’ In all seriousness, I’m not related to anyone in politics nor construction. (Pati na rin Pure Gold, since we’re clarifying things lol).”

Joni, poking fun at the situation, reposted Camille’s statement with the caption:

“Excuse me, I’m in construction. You are very much related to the shady Pieni Surfaces.”

To which Camille responded:

“I stand corrected. My hubs is in fact in construction. And although his company Pieni Surfaces can do wonderful things for your walls and floors, it cannot contribute anything to flood control. (Although those contractors also didn’t contribute anything to flood control so…).”

Camille Stays Focused on Her Own Work

By firmly drawing the line between herself and the controversial political family, Camille Co continues to distance her name and brand from the issue. With wit and transparency, she reminds the public that she built her career as a fashion and lifestyle vlogger through creativity and hard work—not political privilege.

Her message is clear: Camille Co is not Claudine Co.
