Social media personality Whamos Cruz is determined to prove his critics wrong by undergoing a DNA paternity test after some netizens accused him of not being the real father of his child, Baby Meteor.

On his Facebook page, Whamos shared a comment from a netizen who casted doubt on whether he is truly the father of Baby Meteor, suggesting that he should take a DNA test to prove his paternity.

Whamos firmly responded and challenged the netizen: “Papalagan kita jan sa dna basta kapag tugma dna namen papakulong kita payag ka?”

The vlogger also emphasized that even before Baby Meteor was born, he had prayed that the child would not inherit his looks to spare him from the online ridicule that he himself experiences.

“Sinabi ko na sa inyo una pa lang na nasa t’yan palang ang anak ko na [si] baby meteor pinag dasal ko na hindi maging kamukha dahil ayoko makaranas anak ko sa pangbabash n’yo na katulad ng panlalait nyo sa itsura ko,” he wrote.

Despite the negativity, he expressed gratitude for having a handsome and intelligent child and a beautiful wife, Antonette Gail.

“Swerte nalang ako dahil naging gwapo ang anak ko at may maipag mamalaki ako sa tao na kahit gaano man ako kapangit napaka talino mabait gwapo ng anak at napaka ganda naman ng asawa ko.

Whamos went on to address his bashers with grace: “God bless sa inyong mga basher mahal ko padin kayo kahit lagi nyo akong nilalait sa itsura ko.”

In a separate Facebook post, Whamos updated fans that he’s in the legal process of getting a DNA test.

“Gagastos ako, may mapatunayan lang talaga ako. Ang gusto ko lang naman ay matahimik ‘yung mga nagsasalita ng mga ganun about samin ni Meteor,” he said.

Baby Meteor’s pediatrician, meanwhile, reassured Whamos, saying: “You, yourself, know what really happened, and ako mismo nagsabi na may features ka ng anak mo.”

The vlogger vowed to take legal action against the accuser if the DNA test confirms his paternity, stressing that while he can endure being criticized, he won’t allow the same for his child.

“‘Pag lumabas na tama ‘yung DNA test namin, pakukulong ko talaga ‘yun, para at least hindi na ulitin sa anak ko. ‘Di bale kasing ma-bash ako nang ma-bash, eh ‘wag lang ‘yung anak ko,” Whamos stressed.
